was blessed on

in
Colorado
in the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
by her daddy.
I am so grateful for a husband who has the priesthood and was willing and able to give our daughter a name and a blessing.
"Our Dear Heavenly Father, by the authority of the Melchizedek priesthood, we take this infant in our arms and give her a name and a blessing, and the name that she should be known on the records of the church is Averi Jayne Flint. Averi, at this time we bless you to continue to be a joy to all those who you are around. We bless you to be a light to the world and to those who you encounter in your life, and we bless you that you will look to your Savior Jesus Christ in all things to remember that He is always there for you. We bless you that you will be a joy to your mother, and you will have a special bond with her. We bless you that as you grow, that you will develop a testimony of a loving Heavenly Father, of our Savior Jesus Christ, and of His Gospel. We bless you that as you grow you will learn how to choose right from wrong, you will learn to be guided by the Spirit in all things, and then when the time comes, that you will marry in the temple to a worthy young man. Averi, at this time we bless you that you will honor the name by which you have been named, that you will be noble and diligent and strong, just like Jayne was. We bless you that you will be guided in all things by the Spirt, that you will know that God is always there for you. We leave this blessing upon you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
It was truly a beautiful day! Steve gave her a wonderful blessing! Miss Averi behaved very well the whole time despite not sleeping very well that night and waking up that morning with her first cold. She wasn't feeling too good and was really tired. But she is a little champ!
Averi was blessed in the same dress that I was baptized in as a baby. Averi had just turned four months when we blessed her. She looked so beautiful in her all white blessing dress.
There were a total of three baby blessings on that day and a mission farewell. The church was really full. Averi was surrounded by people who loved her the most.
She was surround by great grandparents (Bill and Susan), grandparents (Butch and Cindy), neighbors (Little Johnny and Elizabeth), aunts (Pat, Cassie, Tiffany, and Kate), uncles (Greg, Scott, and Bryan), cousins (Greyson, Jayden, and Jordan), and our ward family.
We sure do love this little bundle of joy! She is such a happy baby!
The Flints ~ XOXO
