Sleeth Family

I had the chance to take this beautiful mamma's maternity photos.  These two are a gorgeous couple! Kylie's baby bump is the cutest and tiniest little bump that I have seen. I wish I looked that adorable when I was pregnant.

We took these photos at Fly'N Bee park. It was a whopping 22 degrees. It was freezing but so beautiful. The day before it snowed bunches, so we had a white winter wonderland.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mama Bear / Papa Bear / Lil' Bear ~ Christmas Pajamas 2016

I can't believe Christmas is right around the corner.
One of our traditions are matching Christmas pajamas. The hardest part of this tradition is actually finding matching outfits that aren't super expensive. If you know where or how to buy cheaper matching pajamas please let me know.

One day my friend and I were walking through Target. We were Christmas shopping and she saw these adorable Mama Bear, Papa Bear and Lil' Bear matching pajamas. Here is the link for these matching pajamas. She knew I was looking for some but haven't found any yet. I thought they were so cute!

My one and only, favorite part about winter is a wood burning fire place. This year we took our pajama pictures while we were home for Thanksgiving break. My parents have a wood burning stove so this was the perfect place to take them. I love seeing everybody's cute little families in their matching pajamas.

Ward Christmas Breakfast

We ended up going to the ward Christmas party. For breakfast they were serving Kneaders french toast. Steve and I actually had Kneaders french toast for our anniversary breakfast the day before. Kneaders two days in a row. Yahoo. We use to eat there all the time in Utah. It is super delicious. Kneaders is just a fun environment and has great breakfast, lunch and dinner. We actually went there to eat for our monthly Moms Night Out last month and had a great time. If you haven't been, you definitely need to give it a try.

Here are some fun photos from our Christmas party.
Averi wasn't too sure of Santa this year. She didn't know what to think. She loved running around the church and loved playing with all the snowflakes.

DIY Ugly Christmas Sweater

Last weekend was our Christmas breakfast for our ward Christmas party. There was going to be an ugly sweater contest so of course I had to make the family some.

We weren't sure if we were even going to be attending because last week was our 6th anniversary as well. I wanted to make a DIY ugly sweater that I could wear for other parties that we would be attending throughout December.

This DIY sweater was super easy to make and only look about 10 minutes a shirt.

DIY Ugly Christmas Sweater
The materials needed for this particular sweater were sweaters (color of your choice), tinsel garland, pom poms, hot glue gun and hot glue sticks.
Sweater: $7.00 - Walmart
Tinsel garland: $.98 - Walmart (1 bundle a sweater)
Pom poms - $3.00 - Walmart (I used 1 bag for 2 sweaters)
Total = $11.00 a sweater

Step 1: Lay your sweater out flat and arrange the tinsel garland and pom poms how you want it to look.
Steve 2: Once you like the way your sweater looks start hot gluing   the tinsel garland and pom poms on.
That's it!! It was so easy to make and super fast.

Thanksgiving 2016

Every year we go back to my home town for Thanksgiving in Southern Colorado. My parents still live there and Steve's grandparents live there. We have made a tradition of going to Southern Colorado every year for Thanksgiving.

Some other traditions we have started over Thanksgiving break are shooting pumpkins, family bowling championships, turkey trot, two Thanksgivings, visit the lake, Black Friday shopping, and family pictures.

Shooting pumpkins:

My dad always grows a garden every summer. By Thanksgiving there are always leftover pumpkins that are starting to rot. We gather them all up and head out to the forest to go shooting. It is one of my favorite things to do over break.

Family bowling championships:

We started this tradition three years ago. We always play two games. The first game is a practice/warm up game. The second game is the real deal. Whoever has the highest score has bragging rights until the next Thanksgiving. Each year more and more people join. Year one, Steve took first place. Year two, I took first place and year three Steve took first place again. You can say our house hold is the one to beat! :) The winners are on the top row and the losers are on the bottom row. It goes 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. from left to right.

Turkey trot:

The turkey trot is a Flint tradition. Most of his family would run in that race every year. This year Steve's uncle ran, his nephew and his brother Scott. Scott killed it! He took fifth place over all and probably would have beat Steve if he would have run. At least that's what I tell Steve. ;)

Thanksgiving:

We go to Steve's grandparents on Thanksgiving day and then the day after we have another Thanksgiving at my families house. It's a win win!

Lakes:

We always find time to go up into the mountains and play around on the beautiful lakes. These lakes are absolutely beautiful. Some winters the water is so low we can play in the soft sands. Averi loved throwing snow and rocks in the water.

Laue Family Photos:

During Thanksgiving break we always take my families, family pictures. We need to get it together and do it earlier in the season so it's not so cold. Luckily, it wasn't too cold this time. We had the best weather the whole week.

Averi loves going to grandma and grandpas house because there is so much to explore. This year the weather was beautiful! We played outside all week with just a light jacket on. Averi loved the trampoline this trip. She figured out how to jump up and down on it. She loved the swing set, especially when grandpa would push her. She loved petting the neighbors horse and giving it lots of kisses. But her favorite part of grandma and grandpas house was still riding on the lawn mower with grandpa.
