We woke up and had breakfast on the ship and then headed out for the rest of the day. I swear eating was Steve's favorite part of the cruise. He loved all of the food they had.
Key West was our last stop on our cruise. It was such a cute little town with so much history.
We took a bus ride around the city and looked at everything from the beaches, to cemeteries, to old houses to just name a few of our favorites.
One thing that we thought was really cool was the houses that had cool trimmed woodwork. But the interesting thing was the trim was in a design of what the owners profession was. There was one house that had ginger bread men as the trim work. That owner was a baker. There was another house that had sail boats as the trim. That owner was a sailer. There were so many cool one I can't remember them all and I couldn't get pictures of them all either.
The cemetery was pretty cool too. I love looking at old headstones. These were cool because they weren't buried under the ground they were above the ground. It was different to see since that's not how we do it in Colorado.
This was the southernmost point of the U.S.A. There was a HUGE line but since we were in the bus we were a lot taller and could get a pretty good picture without waiting in the line.
Key West was an awesome little town. The people were friendly and it was beautiful. It is sad to think it was completely destroyed by hurricane Irma (September 2017). Hopefully they can recover quickly and preserve as much of the history that was destroyed.
